Critical Reasoning Part 2
Process The Question
Now that you have completed identifying the input given to you in the argument, the next move is to process the question , extract the answer and compare it with the options given.
Critical Reasoning Tips
How to identify the questions? And how to proceed after that?
There will be some clues in the body of the question that will guide you to identify the type of question asked.
The test taker can see a question that says: “What would undermine the author’s argument”?
The word “Undermine” conjures the word weaken which is a type of questions tested in the critical reasoning section

Critical Reasoning Tips
Selecting Answers
Based on the question, you will try to predict an answer that satisfies the requirements.
For example, if the test taker is asked to predict the statement that can weaken the argument, in this case, the test taker will try to predict an answer that will offer alternative assumption to the conclusion found in the argument!
Critical Reasoning Tips
Watch out for your steps!
At this stage, the test taker is having a prediction in his hands and will try to match it with the nearest answer choice given.
The best way to process this easily is to use the elimination process in which there will be some options being out of scope, some others are distractions!
